| During its 102 year history the Augustana Lutheran Church, its institutions, and its organizations produced an enormous amount of written materials, both books and periodicals. The periodicals (over 250) included such magazines as The Lutheran Companion, My Church, Mission Tidings, and the Augustana Theological Quarterly. |

| As time passes, it becomes increasingly difficult to locate these materials. Therefore the Board of Directors of the Augustana Heritage Association has asked Virginia Follstad of Whitewater, Wisconsin, to carry out a project in which she will collect information about the various periodicals that were published and where they are currently still available. |

| In order to do this, she has contacted libraries, archives, and other institutions in Sweden, Canada, and the United States to find out what holdings they have. Once the information is collected, she will prepare a “Union List of Serials” that will be available on the AHA website and at libraries with significant holdings. |

| This will be of great value to persons in the future who seek to find information about the Augustana Lutheran Church, its institutions, its organizations, and its leading personalities. |
